Wheel thrown using a dark brown, speckled clay. Hand painted with a dark blue & brown checked pattern, then finished with a white speckle glaze which reacts with the speckles in the clay and the iron and cobalt in the checked pattern. Finally, all pieces are fired in a kiln up to 1220°c. All glazed items are microwave and dishwasher safe.
